If you would like to proceed with the rental of one of the properties you have viewed the next step is to inform us and provide us with the following information:
- A copy of your passport or driving licence.
- A copy of a utility bill, if available, for your current residence.
- A copy of your contract of employment or a letter from your employer stating you are in permanent employment, your start date and your annual salary. Please refer to the office if you are unable to supply this information.
We also require you to fill in the Homelet Individual Referencing Application in full commencing from section 3 paying particular attention to the question in bold near the top of page 2.
Please also ensure the bank details requested at the bottom of Page 1 should be the bank account from which you will be paying the monthly rent.
Please remember to date and sign the form on Page 4 and read the small print.
If a guarantor is required for the lease they will also need to complete the form and provide the information as outlined above.
There is a charge of £30 for each Homelet Form completed or £45 for two, and an additional £15 per person after that to be paid when the completed form is handed in to our office. We accept cash or cheque.
You will be advised when we have received a satisfactory Credit Check and the lease will be prepared for you with a mutually agreed commencement date.
Please note the following:-
Our leases are generally for 12 months with a six-month break clause with a one-month notice period. i.e. you can hand in your written notice after 5 months to leave after 6 months. Any change to this will be advised to you before you move in.
The one months notice to leave the property must be in writing and be dated the same day as that on the front of the lease.
